A digital game graphic titled "What is Epic Flour Sack? The Rise of a Hero" featuring a stylized beige background with purple and silver decorative borders, and two symmetrical emblem-like symbols containing a flour sack with a laurel wreath.

In a world once balanced by divine beings called the Pre-Heats, a lone Flour sack awakens to destiny, hunted by darkness, and entrusted with the fate of a shattered world. To survive, he must find the Golden Loaf... or see his home be consumed by Ink and Brine

Epic Flour Sack: The Rise of a Hero is a fully 3D animated high-fantasy series steeped in the food traditions and storytelling cultures of the African diaspora and beyond. Think soulful lore, anime-level action, and culinary magic — all baked into a universe you’ve never seen before.

Our story centers on Hero, a young, inventive flour sack with the rare power of static electricity. Cast out from the people of Baguette, he crosses paths with Grinder, a stone-bodied warrior and the last of an elite, outlawed order known as The Bakers.

Together, they set out to recover the six scattered shards of the ancient artifact known as The Golden Loaf — a relic powerful enough to save or destroy the world of Tahnoori (which, yes, literally means “oven”).

Chasing them down: Cinder, a hot-headed fighter wrapped in fire, and Ghost, a silent assassin cloaked in smoke.
Both serve an evil force thought long extinguished — a rotted power now creeping back into the crust of the world.

And so begins a journey through deserts, ruins, sky-rail kingdoms, and oil-slick shadows. A journey of legacy. Of resistance. Of finding the light when all that’s left is soot and sparks.

This series sounds as bold as it looks — with an original score and theme song crafted by 2x Emmy-nominated composer Dazzmin "King Honey" Murry.

We're not just creating an episode. We’re building a movement — loud, proud, and impossibly dope.

Episode Roadmap

Animation takes time. It takes teamwork. It takes a pipeline built on sweat, skill, and wild belief.

We’ve bootstrapped to get this far — every render, rig, and visual effect. Now we’re asking you to join us and help push this vision into full production.

Our goal:

  • Fully fund Episode One of Epic Flour Sack: The Rise of a Hero

  • Unlock stretch goals to help fund up to the first 5 episodes of a 20-episode Season One

Yes. 20 episodes. You read that right. We’re dreamin’ big.
Because this story deserves it.

Meet the Core Cast

  • A cartoon character with dark skin, dreadlocked hair, sunglasses, and a sleeveless vest. The background features a title indicating a video game called "Hero: The Spark of Conucopia."

    Hero

At his core, Hero is guided by curiosity, Hero is our spark — literally and metaphorically. A bright-eyed flour sack living on the dusty outskirts of Baguette, he’s more inventor than warrior, more heart than heat. Hero’s body hums with static energy, a rare and barely understood power that he can’t always control. He’s got a head full of blueprints, a satchel full of scrap metal, and a deep ache to prove he belongs to something bigger. What he lacks in experience, he makes up for in belief — even when no one else has his back. With his tiny lizard companion Crepe clinging to his shoulder and hope packed in every step, Hero is learning that courage isn’t the absence of fear. It’s moving forward anyway — even when the whole world’s telling you to sit still.

  • Stylized illustration of a green, blocky, armored figure with a beard, wearing a necklace of large brown beads, and with the text "GRENDER: THE STOIC LEGEND" at the bottom. The top left corner shows the logo "EPIC FLOUR SACK: THE RISE OF A HERO."

    Grinder

Grinder doesn’t talk much. He doesn’t need to. His presence says enough. Towering, round-shouldered, and carved from ancient basalt and volcanic ore, he’s the last known Orevein — a Loreborn who can command the earth itself. Once, Grinder was a legend among an elite warrior sect known as The Bakers. Now, he’s a ghost of that time, wandering Cornucopia with silence like a second skin. He’s strong, methodical, and borderline immovable — until Hero stumbles into his path and reminds him that some fires never really go out. With stone prayer beads around his wrist and a battle-scarred axe on his back, Grinder carries the weight of memory like it’s armor. He doesn’t speak of what he lost, but if you listen closely, the ground might.

  • A digital illustration of a character with a head resembling a warped, glowing heart with cracks and fiery eyes, wearing a black vest with a flame emblem on the chest, and matching black gloves and pants with fiery crackling patterns. The background is plain, and text in the upper left corner reads 'EPIC FLOUR SACK THE RISE OF A HERO,' with the title 'CONQUER THE TORMENTED FLAME' at the bottom.

    Cinder

Cinder walks like he owns the sun. Fast-talking, faster moving, and damn near untouchable, this fire-streaked Loreborn burns through life with swagger and spite. His skin glows like embers under ash, a constant flicker of the inferno coiled beneath his grin. Cinder is cocky, yes — but he’s also haunted by a past he doesn’t fully remember. Working under dark orders and haunted by dreams he pretends don’t exist, he’s a loyal weapon trying not to question who’s pulling the trigger. He’ll set a forest ablaze just to watch you squirm… but deep inside, he’s still trying to figure out if he’s fuel — or just another spark waiting to be consumed.

  • A digital artwork of a character with a skull mask, wearing a black hood and coat, with a letter 'M' emblem on the chest, and the words 'GHOST' and 'The Silent Assassin' at the bottom.

    Ghost

No one knows where Ghost came from. They just know where he isn’t. You won’t see him — just the haze left behind, the cold on the back of your neck, the soft sound of steel whispering through the air. Wrapped in robes darker than moonless sky and wearing a bone-white mask shaped from the minerals of his kills, Ghost is Cornucopia’s most feared assassin. He doesn’t speak. He doesn’t miss. And if the smoke starts curling under the door, it’s already too late. His weapon, the Dragonblade, is said to cut through not just flesh but memory itself. And while most think he’s just a myth… the dead don’t get to argue.

  • A dark, ominous hooded figure with a faceless, shadowy face, dressed in tattered, black robes with yellowish spots, standing in a dimly lit environment.

    Sourdough

No one knows how long Sourdough has lived. Some say he was a Baker who turned. Others say he was never warm to begin with. Now, he leads the Order of Acat — a secretive faction devoted to reshaping the world by reclaiming the Golden Loaf, no matter the cost. Where others seek unity, Sourdough sees flaw. Where others see legacy, he sees rot. He speaks rarely, but when he does, even generals like Cinder listen.

He does not crave power — only correction.
